The Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC) was founded in 1983. The association is dedicated to the promotion of excellence in perioperative nursing, and promotes safe patient care.
Founded in 1949, the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) unites and empowers surgical nurses, health care organizations, and industry to define standardized practice for perioperative professionals.

The Canadian Association of Medical Device Reprocessing (CAMDR) collaborates with other organizations to provide its members with professional development and to elevate the quality and standards of reprocessing within Canada.
The Association or Registered Nurses of Manitoba supports and promotes excellence in nursing practice, education, research, leadership and policy.
